I'm going through that dry spell as well, but that's because I have no new inspiration. I remember when a word would be enough for me to let a song spill out.
What do you write about?

I used to try and write stories when I was younger, and then one night in 2009 (when I was 16) I was listening to Taylor Swift, and I just thought to myself "I bet I could do this too." And I wrote my first song, just like that; laying in bed typing on my iPod Touch.
I know what you mean; I actually wrote a song called Born This Way way back in May 2010 after Gaga said the phrase in her ShowStudio interview and I thought it was just such a powerful phrase that I wrote the song right away
I think the reason why I'm so bipolar about the BTW era is because I would've done it so differently if it'd been mine
As for what I write about, I sort of flip-flop between Taylorish songs inspired by my life and emotions, and Gagaish songs that are more philosophical. Being the perfectionist I am, I'd say only a very small portion of what I've written would actually be worthy of being put on an album.
