Falso. You seem to forget the fact that when the ET remix was number one, the ET actual version was number two. So you cannot discount the legitimacy of THAT single. The others, on the other hand, are debatable.

But that just shows the demand for the single as a whole. Sure, if the remix wasn't there the effect wouldn't have been as strong, but it was kinda inevitable that the song was going number one either way.
Again, people on ATRL seem to not pay attention to anybody outside of Britney Spears and Katy Perry.
There's a lot of artists out there who remix almost every single they release with a featured rapper.
E.T. would've definitely got to #1 without Kanye. But Last Friday Night probably wouldn't have. So if Katy never did rap remixes, she'd have 4 #1s, probably.
But imo, rap remixes are no different to dance remixes. Rap remixes usually sell more because the average rapper has a larger fanbase in the US than the average dance producer. That's all. Apart from that, they're no different.
I'm fine with a remix or two released for an era (even though the remix trend was pushing it about 4-6 months ago in general).
But three in one era? Does she want releasing remixes to define the era?
However, when a remix is done amazingly, then that is different, but B.o.B has a terrible record with remixes at the moment. But obviously I can't judge now, but the remix better be great.
Remixes like Sleazy are great because there is so many new verses & beats to energy. Same with Till the World Ends.
Why doesn't she just ****ing promote? We never got a single televisionized performance of Last Friday Night ANYWHERE in the world.
I actually think these remixes might be much better than a performance can do. Save super high-profile events, performances usually give like a few percentage points and don't do much in the long-run. These remixes are much better bets for these one week boosts.

You Katy stans need to stop comparing her remixes to others. These last two have clearly been done with the sole intention to break the MJ record. Multiple 69 cent discounts, completely unnecessary remixes. Even boasting with the whole 11/11/11 = 6 number ones thing. Ke$ha didn't use any remixes for her better good, just releasing them for the fans. "Sleazy" ain't going to benefit her at all, "Blow" remix was released after it had even peaked and did absolutely squat and IDEK what 3rd one you're talking about.
