I honestly think it's going to be more respected than Twilight since it's such a complex story with such complex characters while Twilight was kind of general and two dimensional.
As far as popularity, we'll just have to see.
And I'm not just saying this because I stan for this series, but I really do think this is going to be a very well respected film, despite the fact that it comes from a YA novel. The trailer looks even better than I pictured most of the scenes in the book (though, I doubt it will live up to the book). You can tell there was a lot of hard work put into this movie. From the directors, the actors, the art directors, just from everyone.
and I'll try to read the book before the movie comes out! It looks so thrilling and pretty well done, I really hope the movie becomes more popular than Twilight because the story feels more comlpex and deep, it deserves it
