If you didn't know we're not in the 2000's, 90's, 80's, 70's where album sold loads, Single sales curb stomps Album sales in this day & age, but I get you're clueless since you don't even know Rihanna is global superstar.

Being popular doesn't make you a big album seller though. Why her 47 million Facebook followers don't buy her albums? Can you explain me? I don't know why her stans are denying the truth all the time. I never said she's fading, but she ain't a big act either. Big acts debut at #1 (Billboard 200).
And of course albums don't sell like they did in the past, but Rihanna is always getting huge airplay and she barely sell albums. That's a fact.

Buble had almost the same sales as that band witch were very beatable for almost any major artist.
You completely ignored my question by the way. Why does Rihanna the so called biggest star in the world right now need to release in a week of low sales and no competition plus witch major promo (thats what I got from your original post) just to get a #1 album.
And are you saying that Rihanna couldnt even pass 1 milli if she didnt release this time of year?

You do know TTT is a typical-opening for a female popstar in the US? 175-200K.
GaGa is the only exception (Bey isn't a pop girl).

And who are these female popstar s? The only one with similar numbers was Katy who released during summer and the difference in sales from TTT was less then 10k. She would do better on BF week. Britney sold over 270k if i recall. Gaga sold more as you've mentioned. But this does seem to be the typical opening for Rihanna

Opening was less than i thought (that was Black Friday week) but nothing to worry, problem is that despite pre-Christmas sales increase TT sales is decreasing. 318K sold in this period is quite disappointing for her level artist especially how huge now is WFL.

Michael Buble easily holds on to the #1 spot as he prepares for this weekend's SNL appearance. Adele will land her 40th non-consecutive week in the Top 3, just six weeks shy of tying the record set by Alanis Morissette's "Jagged Little Pill." Lady Antebellum gets an early Christmas present as Own the Night re-enters the Top 5. Here's how it looks headed into the weekend:
Michael Buble (Reprise) 440-460k
Adele (XL/Columbia) 260-280k
Justin Bieber (Island/IDJ) 150-170k
Andrea Bocelli Concerto (Decca) 90-100k
Lady Antebellum (Capitol Nashville/EMI) 75-80k
Nickelback (Roadrunner) 70-75k
Drake (YM/CM/Universal Republic) 70-75k
Black Keys (Nonesuch/Warner Bros.) 65-70k
Scotty McCreery (Mercury Nashville/19/Interscope) 60-65k
Amy Winehouse (Universal Republic) 60-65k
Susan Boyle Someone (Syco/Columbia) 60-65k
Jackie Evancho Heavenly Christmas (Syco/Columbia) 55-60k
Now 40 (Capitol/EMI) 55-60k
*Anthony Hamilton (RCA) 55-60k
Glee Cast Christmas, Vol. 2 (Columbia) 55-60k
Andrea Bocelli My Christmas (Decca) 55-60k

I am in awe at Adele's sales. I didn't know it would even reach that high. They are damn close to her opening numbers for Christ sake.
