"Marry The Night" is destined to mega flop because the public is not here for it. It's simple. The fact that the song has sold only over 170k is just tragic.
She can do all the performances/remixes/discounts/promo and the song won't take off.
Gaga needs to get it together

The public is not here for this era in general, not only for Marry the Night.

But "Born This Way" is well over 3.3m, TEOG and Y&I sold well too. MTN is a nice song but fell short to current hits. It felt contrived and that video was bad IMO.
I don't think she should release anymore singles from BTW.

Born This Way was successful because of the big hype. The Edge of Glory is an amazing pop song but she failed with the video (it could have done so much better on the charts). You and I did well in the US, not WW. Marry the Night is not so easy to listen to, then you have to add again the bad video factor.
I agree with you, she should not release anymore singles from the album.

I think You & I screwed GaGa over, especially overseas.
It may have seemed like a good decision at the time, but all the momentum that TEOG had restored after Judas flopped, just vanished after its release.

Lady Gaga should have done like Rihanna does and released different songs in different countries. You and I was a great single choice for the US, but not for any other countries (apart from MAYBE Australia and New Zealand).
Or, she should've used one of the dance remixes of You and I as the main version for Europe, etc. Like how Usher got RedOne to remix More, and promoted that version as the main one.

They can still save MTN if they really wanted to, as has been said. They'd need a high profile remix, featuring a huge rapper (Wayne, Kanye, etc.) or one of her digitally proven pop girl peers or really both if possible, along with a discount, 39 cents if need be. Her label doesn't seem like one to bother to play the chart game, though, so it's probably just going to go down as a big flop and that's that.

Oh, go away. Those songs all sold better because they were better pop songs. Her videos are all entirely irrelevant because clearly on one watches them anymore but her most dedicated fans anyway. The fact that she can't get more views than an Avril Lavigne or Selena Gomez video even when she's releasing 5 minute MVs is tragic, but it's reality.
Frankly, Born This Way, The Edge of Glory and You And I are better songs and Marry The Night is a train-wreck to the ears. I'm tired of seeing the Born This Way excuse used against it. Of course it was hugely hyped, but it outsold the **** out of every other single this era and for good reason. Marry The Night isn't selling because it's boring, and Born This Way sold well because people liked it. If Born This Way was purely a hype situation, then maybe Judas wouldn't have flopped so ****ing hard.

It was a huge mistake to let her influence die overseas. They should have released Scheisse right after Born This Way in retrospect, but it wasn't easy to see how terribly these single releases would turn out to be.
The Edge of Glory is the most tragic. They should have been able to hit 5M with it in the US alone.

I don't think Scheisse would've done well as a 2nd single. Maybe a little bit better than Judas, but still poorly.
The truth is, Judas and Scheisse sound very similar, so if they public didn't like one, they probably won't like the other.
I think The Edge of Glory should've been the 2nd single.

Judas flopped for the same reason Rihanna's YDO is kinda flopping. They were both released when the lead single was still very hot. Both were released a little too fast as "singles." The only diff is, Rihanna's team is holding out on the video.

Yes, Gaga should take notes from Katy. Put a discount and a rapper on that bitch.

She's supposed to be releasing like 3 more singles.
And the only way MTN will make the top 10 is if they release a remix with a popular artist. Promoting it doesn't seem to be working.

Judas flopped because it's a sonic disaster for radio and a foolishly religious song. The fact that they released it too soon and further butchered that by releasing it at the end of a week certainly didn't help it's case.
