First of all I love Kelly Clarkson. I have all her albums and have been a huge fan from the beginning. But every time I see Melanie Amaro perform on X FACTOR USA, she reminds me of the next Kelly Clarkson. I personally think Melanie is gonna win next week. They are both amazing singers with nearly unlimited vocal range. Kelly was young when she won the show, as is Melanie. Both are fan favorites. Both are sweet and humble. Both looked very plain at first but with a make-over, look like stars. Both are thick and curvy and don't necessarily feel the stigma to be skinny, which I think makes them stand out in a good way. Both mentored by Simon Cowell (Kelly in a different way, but still). Both were in the first season of a highly successful singing show. Both sang similar songs on the show. Sure, Kelly has had tremendous success and only time will tell if Melanie can reach her level of superstardom. But I think she has what it takes! I wish Melanie the best and will support her 100%!
She's doing almost exactly the same thing Jordin did on her stint of American Idol.

Jordin primarily did pop ballads, Melanie is doing Gospel lite. Jordin also showed more versatility and stepped out of her comfort zone on several occasions.

I couldn't disagree more. She is in the finals of this show beating out hundreds of thousands... how can you say that? So is America deaf and blind? She's gonna win this show!
The people with x-factor left this show. Astro, Simone Battle and Rachel Crow. Rachel had the most x-factor say what you want about her on the show but she has that star quality. I saw her on Wendy and she carries herself brilliantly. Anyways that's neither here nor there. Melanie gives me jennifer Hudson/ jordin sparks type vibes. Idk how shes gonna be marketed or to who..
