Yeah, that is right. I agree. People make judgements about me all the time online but I am probably more straight then most straight guys. It's not fair to judge a person you dont even know, especially someone who is a great and funny person (like John is). John, I am shocked by it too. But homosexuality is a very sticky topic (no pun intended!) to deal with! I'm more accepting of all kinds of queers (except lesbians; that's just stupid), but I'm not out. Others are out, and they might think they've come to terms about who they really are, but they haven't. That's why they reject all the "negative" labels that come along with being gay, and abhor anyone who exemplifies this labels. I mean, I've noticed that a lot of young gay man have no appreciation for camp or kitsch - but that's because they've been taught, by society, that things are gay - which equals bad. So you see, it's all really society's fault?

Oh, yeah. This whole gays oppressing other gays thing is a sexual version of Uncle Tomism. In this case, many gays try to impress the straights because they want to be accepted, becauser deep down they don't accept themselves. So they look for the majority's approval, while hating those that they're most alike. NEWSFLASH. Homosexuality is a sexual preference, not everyone has to make it a lifestyle. Does that mean I'm not glad to be gay? Of course not. I've come to terms with myself and accepted the fact that I like guys, and only guys.

Another NEWSFLASH. Want to know another reason why half of America hates gay people? I know so many people that are fed up with this whole "metrosexual" revolution that occurred a few years ago. People feel like homosexuals are taking away what men should have... masculinity.

I respect your preference, but it doesn't mean I respect your lifestyle. You can post whatever you want. I won't judge, and I never did. I said I didn't know you, but from what your pictures showed you seem like you prefer a lifestyle I wouldn't pursue, and because you got so defensive about it and made a thread about it, I think I'm pretty sure you're what I thought you were from your pictures. I'm sure you're a great, funny person, and your pictures can be amusing, and I'm not gonna eradicate that opinion of you just because you're not as masculine as most men, but I am allowed to say that I don't respect the lifestyle you follow. Um, I just read your comments in PYP, and I know see that I'm totally right? (Even though this is John's thread, I must interject.)

On a personal level, I agree that one's sexuality should not define their personality. I also think that about one's ethnicity, gender, age and socioeconomic class. Those that are 100% gay, or black, or Asian, or senior citizen, or poor, or whatever are BORING and USELESS people. But, John's not defining his life by his sexuality? If he was, he;'d be a LOT more militant in his views and he'd be downright heterophobic. (Like those that are 100% their ethnicity are also shockingly racist.) So your point doesn't fly?

Now, I clearly admit that I am not perfect. LFR I'm a virgin and that will probably that way for a long long time? But, even though I'm not out, I think that I have a much clearer picture of who I am - and I'm okay by it?

And Froggy, something in your post really rankled me. What is it with this obsession to be (or to appear) as "straight" as possible? It's really sickening. Like, straight men are really, really boring. (Most gay men are too? Most men in general are) but straight guys take the cake? Being gay and being out are very different things. You're still gay if in the closet. You don't choose to be gay, but you can choose not to have gay sex or not to come out as gay.

I personally don't have anything against homosexual. I have a gay & lesbian friend so what, we're all humans. The pictures in the PYP thread are entitled to everyones' opinion seeing you chose to post a picture of yourself BUT you should have respect for others. For me, if I don't like the picture I just keep it to myself since I wouldn't like it either if people were to comment about my pictures in negative ways.

John, we asked Sammy not to post in PYP because he's black. (So am I) I asked him because, in my three years a poster and practically four years altogether here, I have never seen an uglier poster. Ever. EVER. No offense, but there was a reason nobody was commenting on his damn picture.

And, I am not nearly as militant as I may seem. Not that I need to apologize for my posts, but still? Like, you'd have to drag me to any kind of gay club. Because those all are filled up of three kinds of people: 1) gay men who define the words pathetic and sad, 3) smug straights who applaud themselves for daring to try to understand another person's point of view, and 3) lesbians. Clearly those three groups occupy the three lowest rings of hell, yes?

I've actually had experiences with all three types of people. One person who was particularly sad and pathetic actually thought he was Mariah, and the only highlight in his life was getting up in the middle of the dancefloor and singing her song like her every saturday night.
