TBH, people are too delusional about SFTTR.
Cheers also blew on the Radio and reached on iTunes ( #3) before the video and and you know where it ended up.
Adele ain't no Rihanna. It's close to scanning a million copies just of the fact of it being an album track

If that ain't something, IDK.
It's just because Adele is so hot right now. People are reaching for the new song after SLY and SFTTR is the most easy-listening song among the rest. But that won't be enough for SFTTR to reach no.1 on BB 100.

Seriously, it's one of the easiest #1 predictions ever. It's the most commercial song on the album, appeals to all her major formats right out of the box, coming off of 2 huge #1's, from the biggest album of the year by the current "it" artist and the woman set to sweep the most prestigious music awards show. The only thing going against it at the moment is that she won't be able to perform for another month or two.

We all know the reason why Cheers didnt hit higher....WFL
Let's not sis, Cheers was already underperforming before the release of WFL , Set Fire To Your Fave is going to be number one deal with it, is 11 with no video, promo and not even high radio airplay....yet!
she will slay there's no other way, umm Adele Adkins born to slay, booorn to slay, she is on the right track baby, she will slay our faves
Mr. Dream has been bothered by people saying that SFTTR will go #1. Nothing new.
If it doesn't go #1, and? You (being a Rihanna fan) feel as though SFTTR will be a flop if it doesn't hit #1.
And what happens if it does hit #1? Would you slit your wrist? I mean, you act like it's a life or death situation. And why does anyone have to be "delusional" about SFTTR? It's just a prediction based on its current performance on radio and how fast it's moving up on iTunes. It's not like people are saying an Avril Lavigne song is going to #1. If it's wrong, then I doubt anyone would lose sleep over it. Adele's success really does have these pop stans bothered.
Cheers was having one of those typical "stall around #10 then start increasing again" runs on pop radio. It was still in the iTunes top 10 when WFL was released. I agree that WFL's release caused Cheers to peak rather than stall.
no video budget, no performances, no promo basically ,and was doing better than official singles with high budgets and lots of promo
I didn't lie and i wasn't shading Rihanna, the song did better than Judas tbqh, but don't come to me and say it wasn't underperforming by Rihanna standards, when the song was struggling on radio already and it couldn't stay in the top 5 (sometimes top 10) on Itunes, it was top 3 but you know what i mean
