Your argument is beyond basic and irrelevant. Promo is the key to any artist's success. Look at Britney. No promo, her album underperformed badly. Look at Katy, Flawless promo and 5 #1 singles. Your argument is weak and false.
Avril was badly promoted and after a 4 year gap, promo is the key factor to success. You can't come back after 4 years and just expect people to know you have music out.
