When I heard "What The Hell" at first, I felt like I had a renewed right to expect another album just filled with songs about screwing it all and just messing around. But surprisingly, "Goodbye Lullaby" didnt come across anything like that. Most of the songs were about relationships, whether break-ups or departures and just plain going out of love as manifested in tracks like "Wish You We're Here", "Goodbye", "Everybody Hurts" and "Remember When" and a lot of the other songs. In fact, theme wise, "What The Hell" is probably the most different out of all the songs. Notable tracks include "Smile" which has a nice meaning despite starting off with ...you know that I'm a crazy bitch... and "I Love You" which simply is the sweetest song in there.
Best Tracks: "I Love You", "Smile", "Remember When"
You know eteru aint lying when he says that ADELE is one of the biggest artists, if not the biggest in the industry this 2011. Her undeniable huge vocal talent soars in every track of her widely successful album "21." I've been a fan of hers since "Make You Feel My Love," and this album made me appreciate her music even more. The heartbreaking lyrics which tell tales of the dark days of love lost are infused in either thumping drumbreats or just a peaceful piano background. All songs just pretty much stand out especially when you shuffle it with the generic mainstream tracks we have today. This album definitely deserves a spot in the top 5.
Best Tracks: "Rolling In The Deep", "Rumour Has It", "Set Fire To The Rain"
