Hats Off is one of the best pure rock albums of 2011, no doubt about it. Kind of sad not to see it make the actual list, but I'm sure there will be more than enough good music in the actual top 10 to ensure that I'll live with it.

2011 was a very interesting year in music. Artists like Avril Lavigne, Incubus and Evanescence returned to the music scene after nearly fading into obscurity for years. LMFAO and Adele were major underdogs, taking over mainstream radio. Katy Perry and Britney Spears were the icons of female pop while Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj used their artistic visions to create some of the most interesting albums of the year, and The Script and Parachute came in with some of the most lovely AC songs of the year.
But there were a certain few that really had that WOW factor for me. A select few that I can truly say make my top ten.

6. Rise Against - Endgame

5. Seether - Holding Onto Strings Better Left To Fray

It's not really a SURPRISING list, but there were a couple of albums that I thought would be higher and others lower. I knew that the Lights love was coming, though, and that's one of the main reasons I've been looking forward to this year-ender. And then, just for kicks, you add in new Evanescence, Wasting Light and Ceremonials. All awesome.

So..
That awkward moment when I make the part 1 video for my top 100 songs and realize after I upload that a song on it was in my Best of 2010.

I could have SWORN that song was a 2011 release.
I could go about this two ways.
I can either make a whole new video...or I can just leave it alone.
After all, I had If You Only Knew by Shinedown and Bad Romance by Lady Gaga in my 2009 and 2010 lists (mostly because they were relatively late 2009 releases...and because I didn't take my Top 40 of 2009 very seriously...I did it in list form on the vh1 top 20 forums and compiled it in about ten minutes. :/ )
A whole new video seems like a lot of work for one song.
I think I'll just leave it as is.
The song is Stuttering by Fefe Dobson, btw. Let's just pretend that it was a 2011 release and that my top 100 of 2010 never existed. XD

I also have a few other 2010 releases on a few of my lists. But that would be because they were relatively late 2010 releases that were more popular in 2011.
This only applies to books and my top 100, though. Films and anything pertaining are all solely 2011 releases.

Bingo. I have a couple of songs that were technically released in 2010 that will be on my 2011 list. I don't have TOO many, but I can certainly make exception.
