Looking forward for your list, I don't know a lot about your taste, but it's a great thing that you're really open minded when it comes to music I'll be checking!
Now Playing – Jupiter Rising "Falling Away" (2:44 P.M. EST)
100 – 96
Year: 2010 Discovery: Single release. Future: 1 entry left.
• Skylar Grey’s hooks are simple, short and catchy… but genius, which makes great for a mainstream pop song. Now after you stomach Diddy’s first rap verse, listen to the chorus (by Dawn and the Estelle look-alike)--then turn the **** off ‘cause he sucks balls and ruins everything. B-side “Coming Home” Part II (Skylar Grey)
Year: 2010 Discovery: VH1 Future: Final entry.
• This is kind of acoustic and boy is her voice great, no under-singing, no over-singing. It may be country but it could appeal to all listeners.
Year: 2010 Discovery: Youtube. Future: Final entry.
• Drake, this is how you go from being a rapper to THIS, if I could slap you right now I would. This is some El Debarge – Otis Redding – Curtis Mayfield ish; so Motown and soulful.
Year: 2011 Discovery: Single release. Future: Final entry.
• Yes, she had a “comeback”, did anyone notice? No disrespect to Michelle but “Loud Music” gives me pop-rock “Teenage Dream” teas with that opening. But I mean it in a good way. What drew me in was just the anticipation to hear her again this time in 2011.
Year: 2011 Discovery: Music Video release. Future: Final entry.
• Sis, is that autotune I hear? But the use of it in the song makes this stand out ahead of her previous singles because it adds something different to her already-great voice. Great song for the ladies.
