Thriller moment, and most artists of this generation will probably never see it. I do think if she plays her cards right, she could get another album that sells well. I feel like she has been accepted by the needed formats (Triple A, AC and Hot AC) because pop is a fickle format for anyone. Just look at how they have been ignoring Beyonce this era and how GaGa isn't getting any more #1s on that format. Her best bet was to get those older folks and formats on her side for next era. But this doesn't even feel like a break.
21 still has ammunition and will probably be on the charts for a long time, so releasing a new album too soon could be overload. I think for an artist like her, people would have to miss her. Her songs are bound to get strong recurrent airplay as well. I remember she said that she was writing some stuff for a movie soundtrack and people assumed it was for the 007 soundtrack. She could be doing stuff like that until she plans on releasing her next album. And it's not such a bad idea to take The Voice UK offer either.
