The Academy Is../ Panic! At The Disco Review
I attended this show last friday and thought I would write a review of all the bands that played
This Is Me Smiling- They filled in for hellogoodbye who was not playing this date because they were part of the SXWS weekend. This Is Me Smiling was an excellent filler, very catchy sounds and fun easy band to listen to. Check them out on myspace if you want. They are from chicago
Acceptance- This band puts on one of the most amazing live shows ever. The lead singer was very into it, got the crowd going alot. Definitly go listen to this band, especially if you enjoy an alternative rock sounding type of music.
Panic! At the Disco- I have already seen these guys twice before. They usually put on a very good live show, they werent as spectacular as I thought they would be, but maybe thats because the crowd was insanly out of control, pushing towards the front as best they could. I was a few rows back and could barely breathe i was being pushed so hard. It was still alot of fun, and the dance party was insane.
The Academy Is...- I cannot stress more why you need to go buy their cd "Almost Here" it was definitly one of the best pop-punk albums released in early 2005. This band is amazing live, so much fun, the dancing was out of control. The club was so packed that night, alot of people stayed for this band, but a few did leave after panic!. Please go buy that cd, you will thank yourself for it, they are amazing.
