Example: 'My next album will sound like The Strokes produced by Skrillex'
Rapper is going rock for next effort, he says
Example has revealed that his new album will sound like a mixture of The Strokes, Skrillex and Chase and Status.
Speaking to NME, the rapper - who released his third album 'Playing In The Shadows' in September this year – said that he would be embracing a rockier direction for his next LP.
When asked what the new record would sound like, he replied:
Quote:
The Strokes produced by Skrillex, or The Strokes produced by Chase and Status.

He also insisted that he had moved away from writing lyrics about "gangstas and hoes", adding: "I've learned that's not what I should sing about, that's not what every young boy wants to hear in music.
"I would rather sing about cocaine than being inside someone's muff. Cocaine doesn't really offend anyone. But being inside the muff does."
