And im sure Rihanna and Lady Gaga didnt say they wanted their single(Only Girl In The World) and album(Born This Way) dicounted, there label prob wanted it. A lot of others artist get their songs discounted so dont act like Katy is the only one using this form of PROMO. just a week or two ago Without You by David Guetta & Usher was also just .69 cents.

Discounts are just the way the game is played. I think Capitol is hurting her image by discounting every other week (or it seems so), but it's not a big deal, at all. You can't help but be impressed by Capitol's marketing strategies.

This is the same reason that people shouldn't attack the OG discount last year or WY's discount 2-3 weeks ago. If it increases sales, then the label is smart. Commend smartness. Like I said, it's getting a bit ridiculous with the TD era (because, according to a certain amount of people, it ruins her credibility), but she wins.

It's true that when a dance-pop girl does something everybody has a massive panic on here, but when a male artist does it nobody cares.

It's the same with the remixes. Rappers have been releasing loads of remixes of their songs for the past 20 years, and nobody cares, then Rihanna and Britney Spears do it and there's massive panic on here.

It's just so stupid. Three female artsits do it, and everybody complains, yet they didn't care about the other 250 rap remixes of songs released in 2010 that charted.

I agree, although the remix trend got absolutely ridiculous at one point among the pop girls so people had a right to complain about that imo.

These definitely sexism, but sometimes I don't know whether it's in favor of women are almost against them. It's like people are trying to nitpick at everything the female artist does, and she's expected to be "sexy" & have the greatest voice on earth or she's a ***** or "boring". But a man can sing about sex, do discounts, & have a weak voice & while he may not be respected like a truly amazingly talented male performer, he isn't viewed the same as his female counterpart, or as negatively.

Trust me, aside from internet stans,no one (general public) isn't aware of this nor care for it.They should discount it for $0.10,I'm all here for it.

They should save the massive discounts for her next first single so it can get even more weeks at #1, since it will hit #1 anyway.

Discounting isn't tacky. It's damn smart.

I don't think there will be more singles from original album but you never know with Capitol.
