Lady Gaga always gives her Little Monsters what they want - thanks to Britney Spears! Mother Monster told Ryan Seacrest that being at Britney's concert (and jonesing to sing along to 'Baby One More Time') inspired her to always perform her biggest hits at her shows.
She says, "Man, I would be so mad if I went to see my favorite pop singer, and they didn’t play all the big hits. When I went to see Britney, I just remember thinking in that moment, 'If I feel this way, I bet the audience feels this way.'"

Well it's not the first time she says something just to say it. Though there have been touring acts in the past who abandon their classic hits on tour/have said they don't like their older songs.

Well maybe she had planned a specific tracklist for the BTW ball which didn't include several of her greatest hits and then when she saw britney on the FF tour and heard the fans singing along to biggest hits, it hit her that she should include them.
