At first she wanted a re-release of Loud, then she changed her mind cause she think Loud has he's own body, so she's gonna release an EP (new album without being a new album) this fall to take advantege of christmas ... & do less promo for this one (it's just extention of Loud, it doesn't need full promo), cause she's gonna be on tour.
Completely agree with what Rîh.røx. just wrote except that after this EP i'm pretty sure she's gonna take a break, Def Jam already has what they wanted = a super selling album. For the next one, she will take it slowly with what she want, without Def Jam pressure who been really dissapointed by Rated R result.
