Love Story? LS was a top 5 hit way before the album dropped it just had tremendous longevity which caused it to peak again at #4 nearly four months later after it originally hit #5. LS was a hit single before her album dropped. It's not as if Taylor was a complete non-entity prior to Fearless or the release of Love Story though she obviously built enough of an audience to warrant that 600k opening since she did very well on Country radio with her four singles. That momentum carried over for Fearless, then the Fearless momentum carried over to Speak Now. As it stands Speak Now is her poorest performing album, there won't be as much carry over to her next disc simply on that basis.
5 million - Taylor Swift
6.3 million - Fearless
3.7 million - Speak Now

I certainly don't think Taylor Swift was a non-entity before Fearless. She debuted with 600K....
Love Story didn't reach its peak as a single until months after release and indeed it didn't cross over to pop until then. The lead single off of her next album will easily debut in the Top 3 and hang around. Yes, Speak Now is her most poorly performing album, but it is still selling, it's still going to reach 4M and it's sold more copies WW than her debut. If anything, I think her fanbase has become even more rigidly dedicated to her.
My point in bringing up Love story is the radical difference in her power between then and now. If she hasn't proved it by now to you, then whatever, but she
will open with 800K+ and you can quote me.

I can almost feel that #1 debut for the lead single too.
