In order to ditch her younger crowd, she needs to stop being played on Disney Channel & that is starting to occur, with Hit the Lights only airing at night. Miley went through that same transition with Disney Channel. The first single from her next album will likely not be played on Disney Channel.

I'm just saying, right now it's screwing her chart peaks and irritating fans, they need to align the premieres more. A video should premiere AFTER the song is sent to radio.

The video premieres isn't what is screwing up her peak positions. What's screwing it up is that single sales peak doesn't coincide with radio peaks. It takes a long time for the singles to catch on the radio.

Speaking of Miley... What are her single sales? Like the ones that have sold a million or more?

You are aware that most artists premiere their videos after their radio play has risen significantly right? THAT is what is screwing up her peaks. If the song goes to radio & the video premieres a month later, then that would increase her chances of a larger peak.

Yeah it's this, she peaks first whit her sales and they start decreasing as her radio updates increase until she peaks on radio. This is what is really screwing up her peaks, if only HWR did not send her songs to radio so late.

Because videos do what exactly? Nothing. Nowadays it has no affect on anything. What does help is solid performances. So if she is able to perform like she did on the EMAs, then that would help.

Why is she/would she try to move from the kiddie fans though? It's not like she want to be an adult singer so better milk the kiddies out of their allowence money as long as she can. Well I just meant for both film and music purposes. Her music is fine right now. It does get adult attention because of the whole dance thing. Problem is her films. She hasn't exactly had a film hit and that's because they've all been kid movies that aren't great.

Yeah.I think those two are her only platinum singles. She sold millions of copies so her fans wouldn't have need to purchase individual singles.

What Selena needs to do is follow Shailene Woodley's footsteps and make a movie like The Descendants Not a big blockbuster movie but a movie that will end up making a lot of money. Shailene is another actress with a young fanbase because of The Secret Life and she's launching a great film career by making this move. She's get a lot of buzz for this role and I can see her becoming a big actress after the show.
