I'm not sure if suppressing the truth inside will help you or do more damage. It all depends on whether you're starting over and want to say goodbye to your past or on how much and what you wish to change.

I hate being lied to. I want to know the truth even if I may not like it. It may hurt for a while, but being lied to and later learning the truth hurts more. I cannot stand two-faced people that tell you that you're their friend and then talk behind your back. I also don't believe that you can protect someone by lying. I don't mind the white lies though, like answering with an immediate "yes" when a girl asks you the infamous "Does this make me look fat?" question.

I dont want to change my past because i have always love my life. My point is i want to have a new one. I want to decide by myself what i want people to remember of me. What the point of saying the truth if it's not gonna change my life the way i want. What i find to be wrong, its precisely the idea that truth is absolutely true, as well as the idea that anything goes because everything is relative. Hence we can assume that there is no theoretical truth, but there are practical truths, the truth of situation. That's the kind of truth i want to use to build a new life.

Well it's better to tell the truth, instead of keeping it to yourself, and continously think of it. no matter what the consequenses are. or however you spell it.

If you have to hurt some people by telling the truth, do it as long as you're happy with that decision (unless you're calling someone "ugly", "fat", "stupid", etc.).
