She's not cut out to be a full time director. The point of working with different directors is that they all bring something to the table. Her videos will continue to suffer if she sticks to directing.

I don't know what it is but I can't seem to distinguish any of Gaga's videos this era. They all seem to be one big confusing continuation of one another (which is fine, if it were a Rhythm Nation or Moonwalker kind of project).

I really do like the pace of the prelude... but then it spills over into a typical popsong with too many useless shots, way too many cuts and disappointing dance sequences. It just doesn't seem to blend together well (prelude and actual song/music video) and feels incomplete when it ends.

She really should stick to very clear and obvious iconic visuals. Bad Romance, Telephone and Alejandro have consistent visuals throughout. Marry The Night, Judas, Born This Way... they are very all over the place. Me no like.

It's funny, because usually I just want Gaga to stop talking and perform the song,
but the prelude, despite the acting, was actually somewhat interesting,
while the "music video" part was not interesting, in the least.

That's basically the tea. But the acting was quite on point, don't you think?
It was not convincing on Telephone, for example (though it seems to be on purpose...), but with this one it was good.
