You are coming across as very ignorant, when a struggling artist is signed they see it as recognition and a chance to really make it, being dropped from your first label has to be an earth shattering experience, it's the equivalent of being told you are not good enough, you are a failure and as Gaga obviously puts her whole heart into her artistic vision something like that would have indeed destroyed her.
She picked herself up though and is now a worldwide superstar making the little people who will never see such success, like yourself, mad.
The Gaga from the Def Jam era was ****. I've seen the old YouTube videos and heard her EP. She deserved to be dropped, because then she really started working on her material, and the result was the stuff that led up to The Fame.

wow !
I though the exact same thing but I couldnt write a paragraph like this but I also did not want to try to make haters understand. They sure have never suffered enough.
It's funny that you say this yet art is completely subjective and can be found in anything and in any moment, that is what art is, everything. It's the quality that is up for debate. Awkward for you I guess, probably should have at least a minute understanding of something before you attempt shading anyone.
Amazing Video.
It's personal, and Amazing.
It's The Best Video of The Era, Everything ***** (Less that Thing on the Final that she is sitting in the fire and stays 20 sec, and then the video ends, Like, WTF? )
Art is subjective. Don't be a douche. Some will look at the splattering of paint on a Jackson Pollock canvas and be confused as to how people can call it art. That doesn't make it anything less.
The video was her best, in my opinion. It was everything. Sad and personal, and even comical. It's an amazing story.

The almost 10 minutes of video that are just pointless, the dance moves secne that looks like from other videos/movies, the too trying hard looks, the dance moves, the whole thing.
I'm sorry I used to stan for her when she was new, I loved her on Monster but ever since Born This Way seems like she has lost it for me.
Irony is, this is like one of the only songs I really liked on BTW, with a right video I might have started to get into her more but now I just wish that this song which is awsome will do great on chart simply cuz' I love it..The video? Not really.
The song is quite nice. Terrible video with a terrible conception though. It's much too long too.
1 - this video is about the most terrible day in her life.
2 - may be your saddest day is the day when you fall down the stair and can't go out or something like this, but the saddest day of Gaga needs LONG TIME to be told.
Finally watched it. I LOVED IT! Old GaGa was back. The Fame GaGa that I find much superior returned
Marry The Night>You & I>Born This Way>Edge Of Glory>Judas
EDIT: But I'd like to add: If they cut out the first 8 minutes of the video for TV then the video will look just as boring and similiar as Edge Of Glory and people won't get it.
