Because the same thing happened to CKB and we saw how that went.
If they truly wanted just a slow burn to the top for YDO, then they shouldn't have given it all this exposure already. The radio deal boosted sales in the beginning preparing for what looked like a quick shot to #1. Now, the whole thing was pointless and YDO is being completely ignored for WFL, which we've all seen needs
zero promo. It stayed atop the charts for 4+ weeks with nothing. Why waste the rare promo opportunities on something that doesn't need it. Has WFL benefitted from The X-Factor performance, cause sales looked exactly the same to me before and after. WFL has a good 2-3 weeks left at the maximum, then it'll be over. And where does that leave You Da One?
There's not that many big performance opportunities left in the beginning of next year. The Grammy's and that's really it. And odds are, by that time, she'll be haphazardly preparing a new single. American Idol live shows don't typically start until March, so when can YDO really get the promotion potential it could've with the AMA's and Grammy nom concert.
