I'm an avid viewer of American Soap Operas. I have watched nearly all of them at some point in time (DOOL, ATWT, GH, Passions, OLTL, AMC, Y&R, and BB). I thought it would be nice to have a thread to discuss the shows and what's going on with them.


Y&R is my main soap right now, but Days Of Our Lives has been trying hard lately to reel me back in. With "The Young and the Restless," I'm really liking the Devon/Tucker/YoHarmony/Katherine storyline; just superb acting all around. Did anyone catch Debbie Morgan chunking up the deuces to the self-righteous Neil Winters last week? I had damn near spit out my diet coke. PRICELESS!!!

Feel free to drop in every now and then Ryan to give us the scoops on what's going on with our favorite soaps. If you didn't know already, our fellow ATRLer, Ryan owns a a soap site that interviews stars of daytime tv and receives spoilers on what's going on.

I can't watch our local tv anymore because it's filled with soap operas. Our country is obsessed with them.

Are Hope and Stefi's brother still hooking up? I was hoping she would wipe her hands clean with that scum Liam and his father. If Liam couldn't respect my girl's wishes of waiting till marriage than that shows how weak and pathetic he is. Who goes and marries your ex-fiance's step sister hours after calling an end to the engagement? CRAZY!!!

I don't watch many soaps but HBIC Teresa slayed my life.

I'm from the Philippines! Our local networks produces local telenovelas though, instead of airing American ones, but before, they usually brought in telenovelas from Mexico and that's why Thalia was big here for shows like Rosalinda

My mom was ready to cut a bitch when they canceled AMC.
