This tbh. Like really? Almost every song sounds the same now why do Nickelback get all the hate?

Because all of their songs sound the same since 2002.

they don't bother me. i don't hate them. i like their Gotta Be Somebody song :P

it's funny when the hate is brought up all the time with them when their albums stay selling and topping charts. No shade intended.

This may be true for some, but I highly doubt that all or most people that hate Nickelback are just "bandwagoning". I've hated their music for years, and didn't even realize that I was far from being alone in this until a few years ago.

The irony. A lot of people hate them but they still sell tons of albums.

I liked them. Than they just became way too overplayed. At least here in Canada (their homeland). I swear like every second song on the radio was theirs.

They're certainly not the worst band out there but their 50 millions album sale is a disgrace to many many awesome bands that don't have chance to get the acknowledgement from the public

I mentioned this in another thread about Nickelback hatred, but the reason that I hate them is because they could have been so much more than they are. Chad Kroeger bought into the hype surrounding the band and realized that he could make a lot more money selling music that sounded like Silver Side Up or "Someday", so he did. He sacrificed integrity and a chance to keep the spirit of "real" rock alive to make money. Was it successful? Absolutely. But, to me, Nickelback's success is the reason that mainstream rock music is in the rut that it's in right now. If they had stayed true to their integrity, mainstream rock music would be in a much better place than it is in right now.

Bandwagon hate is part of it, but they do kind of suck...
