How many recor do you think Britney sold in her career?
Since Rihanna and Gaga are announced to sell +100 million records worldwide, i just want to know that exact amount of records Britney sold in her career so far.
I thought she sold at least 150 million records so far !! how do you think???

Receipts? I know she's over 100 million, but I haven't seen anything to make me think she's gotten close to topping 150M.
She's not even halfway there in certified sales.

She's sold at least 84-90 million albums, she's sold 10 million records alone this era. It's not unbelievable to imagine she has sold 50 million in terms of singles, dvds, ringtones, etc.

Britney has sold 80 million records (singles+albums+dvds) just in the US and Britney is under certified in terms of sales here and in other places. We're not even talking about shipments yet.

I think it is. She's sold ~80M albums (using high estimates). The highest certification ever achieved by one of her singles is 3x platinum (in Australia). The highest certification ever achieved in a major music market is 2x platinum in the United States and that was this era. In fact, only like 5 of her singles have ever received a platinum certification in any of the major music-buying countries. You know she was never selling singles in her prime. Only her last few eras are relevant in terms of single sales.
There's no way she's sold 70M outside of her albums.
p.s. As far as DVDs, ringtones, etc. go, they are irrelevant in this context. She would have to have like 10x diamond certifications for them to put a dent in the total.

BOMT: 26 million sold -> 30 million shipments
OIDIA: 22 million sold -> 23 million shipments
Britney: 13 million sold -> 16 million shipments
In The Zone: 8 million sold -> 10 million shipments
Greatest Hit's My Prerogative: 5 million sold -> 7 million shipments
B In The Mix: 1 million shipped
Blackout: 3 million
Circus: 4 million
The Singles Collection: 1 million shipped
Femme Fatale: 1.5 million -> 2 million shipped
Total album sales: a range between 85-97 million.
She's sold 40+ million singles in the US alone.
~140 million records sold. You're telling me it's impossible that her combined international single sales from 99-07' to be less then 10 million? Unlikely.

Where the hell are all of these singles sales receipts? The post I linked to in my last post has all kinds of numbers, but I have never found any source that even remotely backs them up. Her only appearance on mediatraffic is with Baby One More Time, and that's at 8.9 million points. She has no useful or notable certifications anywhere. Where are the records of these sales?
I also found these numbers for US single sales on some Britney fansite, posted 15 days ago.

As you can see she has sold 20 million digitally and 20 million physically in the U.S. alone. That alone gibes her 40 million singles sold in the US and it does not include the singles from the Femme Fatale era.
HIAM: 1.5 million
TTWE: 2.4 million
IWG: 1.4 million
Criminal: 200k
Domestic total: 6 million total + 22 million = 28 million +
Album sales
BOMT: 14 million
OIDIA: 10 million
Britney: 5 million
ITZ: 3 million
GH:MP: 1.3 million
Blackout: 1 million
Circus: 1.7 million
Femme Fatale: 700k
Total: 37 million
37 million + 28 million = 65 million records from the US alone (not including ringtones, DVD's, etc.)

Hmm....
Listen, I know she's sold over 100M records. I'd place her at ~120M. I just don't see any reliable information on where any of the other numbers are coming from. In fact, I've never even seen a bio of her or any source claiming she's sold 150M. Even Britney fansites usually say "over 100M records." I feel like you just pulled that out of thin air.

Britney's album sales have been undercertified since 2004. As we already know she has sold closer to 70 million records in the US alone. We all know that Britney has sold a **** load of albums globally when she was huge, and it's ridiculous to image that she sold nearly 30 million singles in the US but didn't sell a thing worldwide when she has numerous worldwide hits.

Even the absolute highest estimates among everything we've posted thus far put her US record sales ~65M, even with me adding in some cushion space for whatever they might have missed. Night, Monroe.

around 100 million albums + at least 30 million singles from the US alone = 130 million not counting her single sales from other international markets and ringtones, DVD sales, etc. would come out to be around ~150 million.

Rounding 80M to 100M, 28M to 30M and assuming another 20M doesn't convince me.
But my opinion doesn't matter, anyway. Goodnight, for real this time, M.

Baby = 26M
Oops = 20M
Britney = 12M
ITZ = 10M
GH:MP = 5M
Blackout = 3.1M
Circus = 4.5M
FF = 1.5M
TSC = 300K?
I think this is the most accurate we'll get but some are saying Baby already sold 28M but let's just put it to 25.

Britney Spears, 25, also makes the list, despite a relatively brief career that took off only in 1999 with the release of her hit single "...Baby One More Time." Her $100 million fortune was earned largely from music--she has sold over 75 million albums to date--but she has supplemented her income with a profitable line of perfumes and multimillion-dollar endorsement deals.

Britney has definitely sold over 80 million in album sales globally - she's at around 100 million in albums in terms of sales/shipments. She has definitely sold over 30 million singles in the US counting her singles physical, digital and general .99 cent album tracks. It's unreasonable to believe she hasn't sold 20 million singles from international markets from 98-06' considering how huge her singles were globally and taking in consideration that she released nearly 20 singles from that time period. BOMT itself was a huge global seller that likely sold more then 6 million copies in total.
Album sales: ~100 million
Single Sales (U.S.): 30 million+
International Sales: 20 million+
Total: ~150 million
