Itunes pay about $0.90 for an $1.29 DL. Spotify pays about $0.90 for 150 listens for a major label artists (it's $0.0045 for indie artists).
Which mean in term of REVENUE, 150 clicks/listens = 1 Itunes download for your favorite artists.
Basically, if 450 people visit this thread. And 1 out of 3 of these people click and listen to a song, it generate as much revenue as one $1.29 Itunes download. What song(s) would you recommend that 150 people should "click" on? Post it with the Spotify link.
Song I recommend:
Rihanna feat. Jay Z "Talk That Talk" (from her new album)
http://open.spotify.com/track/7drd8T07dm62NkcYESlVhu
150 clicks/listen = 1 Itunes DL
(given that 95% of music downloads are pirated, only 5% are pay, $0.006 seem small but it could add up....)
150 million listens = $900,000 check from Spotify to Rihanna, the songwriter and the label.
so recommend a song so others will clicks. If 150 click, your artist just earned the equivalent of one $1.29 Itunes download.
