@ the people saying she sucked and lost her voice...and to the people who say that she has released harder songs to sing in the past.
Honestly, she has nearly no time to breathe during a lot of What Doesn't Kill You and even if you had a ton of breath control talent it would still be very difficult to sing. What Doesn't Kill You isn't just demanding fast paced wise but vocally as well. She has to be able to sing fast and hold notes nearly at the same time...below are the parts which would leave her with little room to breathe:
You think you got the best of me
Think you've had the last laugh
Bet you think that everything good is gone
Think you left me broken down
Think that I'd come running back
Baby you don't know me, cause you're dead wrong
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
Stand a little taller
Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone
What doesn't kill you makes a fighter
Footsteps even lighter
Doesn't mean I'm over cause you're gone
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, stronger
Just me, myself and I
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
Stand a little taller
Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone
Thanks to you I got a new thing started
Thanks to you I'm not the broken-hearted
Thanks to you I'm finally thinking 'bout me
You know in the end the day you left was just my beginning
In the end...
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
Stand a little taller
Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone
What doesn't kill you makes a fire
Put that thing on lighter
Doesn't mean I'm over cause you're gone
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, stronger
Just me, myself and I
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
Stand a little taller
Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone
Yes, she has had other songs that are vocally demanding or fast paced but never had she released a Single that was both at the same time and to this extent. I remember reading that Kelly never wanted to release Don't Let Me Stop You as a Single because it was difficult to sing due to it being fast and vocally demanding and honestly, What Doesn't Kill You is even more difficult.
It's not just the chorus that is fast, wordy, and vocally demanding but even the verses leading up to the chorus are fast paced and vocally demanding...which means by the time she gets to the chorus she has had about 1 second to catch her breath after the verses...which are again also vocally demanding and wordy.
Finally, if you think that she will be able to hit the huge '"Stronger" note near the end of the song perfectly then you guys are honestly delusional Nobody would be able to hit that note and I don't care how good your voice is. You could be the best vocalist who ever lived and wouldn't be able to hold that note that long. Why? it should be obvious!
If you listen to the bridge, it is very vocally demanding...yet again. When she sings "In the end" when she is done holding that note it goes right into the chorus again with less than a one second break. She then continues to sing the "What doesn't Kill you makes you" then the big note. I listened to the note on the album and she holds it for 7 Seconds.
So basically, you guys expect her to be able to sing What Doesn't Kill You from the chorus to the bridge, and then hold a 7 second note with less than one second breathing room placed here and there...yeah that sounds easily possible
The only way I see it possible for her to hit that note is to have her to do what someone else on here already said. Have her background singers sing "What Doesn't Kill You makes you" before the big note but even then it will be a challenge.
Finally, her voice hasn't gone anywhere and I think it's the best it's ever been. She sounds flawless in other songs such as Dark Side because while it's vocally demanding at parts it also gives her a lot more breathing room. If you don't believe me when I say that What Doesn't Kill You is extremely difficult to sing then I dare you to try and sing it yourself LOL. I am not kidding either...if you want wait until you are alone in your house are in your car and then put the song on. Try to sing it and hold the notes. I know that we are not supposed to be able to because we are not singers but it will show you just how hard it is for someone to sing

That was a nice read and I agree, the song is REALLY hard to sing without taking pauses. I really think she needs to have some back track, or Jill and Kate sing some parts so she can prepare for a huge belt
