There is no need for a white group to defied because it is already so. "White pride" already exists and premates the entirety of cultures all around the world. Look no further then blacks trying to painfully bleach their skin, straighten their hair and Asians going through surgery on their eyes to fatten their eye lids and trying to change their eye color to reflect lighter shades like blue and green. Look at how society loves blondes. Look how much society loves pink cheeks and pale skin tones, etc. Most models are white, the image of a gay man is a white one, the image of a successful man is a white one, the image of a strong man is a white one, etc.
The term "white" is a security blanket that ends up generalizing the majority of the world because most of the world has lighter skin.
They already belong to a dominant society it would be foolish for white people to argue that the majority of their problems are based off of their skin color or being "white" because most of society is run on white culture and white capital.

I don't even understand this, are you attempting to white wash European settlers of what they did in the 16th century by hiding behind a virus? Yes for all intensive purposes the virus was going to happen regardless, this does not excuse the fact that the pilgrims took the native american's crops, trades, everything of value to them and then slayed their women, their children and their entire people. You can't be serious with this. Have you not read or heard of De Las Casas?

I really don't see why people feel as though they should not be permitted simply because white people are the majority in the US. That doesn't seem like a good enough reason to me.

What about the fact that white people run the world and are always in superior positions in terms of society? Most of the people in the work force who have high ranking jobs are whites and it's a well known theory that in business people end up hiring people who most resemble them and who are most readily going to assimilate to their business. Which automatically breeds the idea of white hiring white. The first thing people see when they look at a person is color and they make a judgement based on that color of skin. A person who has a different color from the interviewer in question (usually a white person) is automatically at a disadvantage because the person does not look like them. People higher people who are most like them and white people (the people in power positions most of the time) higher more white people on average then any other race. How can someone not see a problem with this?
Minorities have it worse because they are not white and whiteness is the color of success. This ideology even spreads to other races and cultures to the point where black waiters on average see at least a 20% difference in tips then white people do even if they give them the same quality of service.

But that's the point of what I'm saying. My point that scholarships should be academic-based. Not based on race, gender, etc.. which is why I often feel discriminated against.

You don't seem to understand what your saying. You are not being discriminated against because you're white. You're being discriminated against because of class. You are of a higher class then other students who do not have the funds that you have and do not have the cultural capital that you have, and please don't fool yourself. Whiteness is cultural capital. You automatically have it easier because of your skin color then a lot of other people who have a darker tone of skin. I don't buy that you can't get a job, or that you can't find a job as a white person. I am pretty sure most Restaurant owners would love to have a white person hosting, waiting or doing something for them. Whiteness is the preferred race.
It annoys me when I hear about white people complaining about that their race holds them back. It's as if they are completely blind when to all the different ways being white helps them in society. It's sad there are a lot of people in this world who yearn to be white just to be like everyone else.
