Rihanna doesn't define anything in pop culture or has taken part in any memorable events. So, no she is not the new Britney Spears.

Maybe I should have titled it differently. Something like:
Are Britney and Rihanna more similar to each other when compared. Than when compared to all the other pop stars in the industry.

No Britney had/still has #1 albums, Rihanna has yet to achieve that
and their are very different in almost every aspect, image, personality, performing style
