I'm taking ESL, so sometimes my grammar sucks

Y'all need to know and perfect my primary language first before y'all act like that, tbh.

I think my own language is far more complex than English. Of course I don't have any problems with it because it's my first language but it's not easy. Dutch has so many exceptions and every year there are new spelling rules, for example they change a plural form of a word or just change the spelling of a word.

English on the other hand is very easy to learn. The fact that it's a world language says enough. The language is very easy to learn. Almost everyone in my class and other classes prefer to do oral exams for English instead of French because it's much easier. Note that at my school everyone is having French since elementary school and English since their second year in High School yet almost everyone prefers to talk in English, when doing presentations in a language. Also in my class the grades for English are much higher than French and German.

True. You need to feel it or it's just like that.

French is not easy and yes the conjugation is hard. I hate the tenses for French, you have so many rules. With English everything is so easy. A few easy tenses and that's it.

Ugh, french is easy as ****, maybe growing up with it makes it better, but i **** on the lesszors on my class, i always get near-perfect grades

The thing with French is that, at least what I've learned from myself from experiences. You have to work hard and learn your tenses and words good. Knowing when it's ''un'' or ''une'' so that you have to adapt your adjective and so on.

Regarding grammar and conjugation rules, Spanish is the hardest one to learn, because it differs whether you are in Spain, Peru and other South-American countries.

Regarding pronunciation, I've always found French as the hardest one. However, when you get to pronounce the words well, you create the most exquisite sounds for the ears.

Regarding other things such as collocations, lexis and idioms, English takes the cake.

P.S. While writing this, I just remembered that two months ago I didn't know the meaning of "regarding" and "regardless."

But that's true Dutch is way more difficult than French. Dutch is one of the most difficult languages to learn imo of you're coming from another country where they don't speak Dutch.
