Vegan, but close.
When I travel, yeah. The one good thing about living in a hipster city is that there's tons of vegan options in most restaurants. Most will have entire menus for us, seriously. But when I travel, it's all about salad, salad, salad.
What does your sister do?

Oh my bad!
:/ that's unfortunate. It would suck to have all my options limited to salad
Well, I'm from Alberta, which means a lot of beef. My sister basically tries to find vegetarian websites using her various online resources, but even then it can be tricky to find one that's actually good.
I remember we went to Montreal once for a trip, and she found this amazing veg restaurant. The food was so good

I never knew you lived in Canada That's where I travel to most, because my extended family is there in Vancouver. I'm there every long weekend I get (including this upcoming one!) and that's when I eat nothing but salad. You don't gotta tell me about Canada and meat.

There should be a couple vegan restaurants in Vancouver! At least I'd hope so
Katie, you'd hate Alberta. You're looked down upon if you ask for no bacon bits in your caesar salad, and you're crazy if you ask for vegetarian/vegan alternatives.
My friend Ryan recently took the vegetarian plunge, and he's been having issues with most restaurants. He'd like to eat more than just cheese pizza

That practically makes us neighbors!
If you ever come up to Seattle, there's this vegetarian restaurant called Sutra that I've heard is really good. I've never been, but I would imagine they have plenty of vegan dishes!

Yeah, Vancouver is hipster enough to get by. But if we want to venture out from there, then it's tough I hear everything East from us is BAD though. Don't wanna find out.
Does Ryan want to make the full plunge and go vegan someday? I remember I used vegetarianism as training wheels for a while, till I could muster up the strength to ditch cheese and milk

Home Town Buffet. Cheap price, whenever non-stop, and nice, delicious food. I used to go every Saturday with my boyfriend, until one of us decided to find other types of restaurants.

I believe he has enough willpower to go to pure vegan. I've seen him eat steaks before, and now he's completely sworn meat off. I'm pretty sure he's already drinking soy milk, so I think once he becomes more experienced in feeding himself on a university budget, he'll probably at least try going vegan.
He'll probably want the superpowers from Scott Pilgrim though, so he'll be a bit disappointed when he stops eating all animal products, but doesn't gain telekinesis

Oh, that's right. Aren't you guys freshman? You've got some time before you learn how to make your money work. It's a lot easier off campus, when you can buy and prepare all your meals yourself. He'll get the swing of it soon.
And tell him we DO get magical powers. They're earned through good behavior though, so he'll get rewarded with them when the almighty Vegan Gods declare it so. That oughta tide him over

Yeah, but I'm living at home (thank god). I'm having enough troubles keeping track of my life now, I can't imagine once I'm out of the house.
I'll let him know, it'll probably convince him to join. Well, that and those sexy Vegan police.
And at those of you listing fast-food as your favorite restaurants. At least go for Olive Garden or something

I go to Olive Garden way too much last year with my family. Even though I'm black, I still love going to Italian places. I wish there was a "Little Italy" in San Francisco/Oakland/San Jose area like the Little Italy in New York.

Lately I'm loving this: http://animalrestaurant.com/
It's small and unassuming but the food is great.
But Katsuya will always be my fave, even if all the new locations suck.

Ethos Vegan Kitchen - a great vegan restaurant. Great food! Try it even if you're not a vegetarian
Anthony's- This is best pizza place in Orlando, that serves New York style pizza.
