Monroe, I feel like you're not giving Adele credit for her talent. Talent comes in all shapes and sizes. It's not cool to like someone because they're fat, it's cool to like someone because they're talented.

Yeah I don't even think it's arguable. It's not shade but people love Adele because she represents everything that a pop star in this day and age isn't. She is the exact opposite of what you would expect from someone in pop music right now and people are loving it. It was the same way with Amy Winehouse and to a lesser extent Duffy. They arent' typical popstars and people loved the authentic feel of them and how they were different from the "pop star norm". P!nk made that her entire mantra and that's why she is still successful today.

Britney sings, she may not have the biggest powerhouse voice in the world like some, but big voices doesn't constitute who can and can't sing. She dances, not as well as she once did, but she still does dance. She writes music and we have plenty of songs of hers that can back that up; they don't have to be a single for it to be recognized or appreciated by the mass. Brit has an eye and ear for things that are to be successful, which have aided her to 13 years of success.

No one ever credits or give props to the woman. You don't accomplish and do the things Britney has done her entire life without being talented, let's get real for a second here. It seems people like to undermine and pacify Britney because they prefer to hold her in little regard for anything and criticize/make fun of her, it's whatever though.

As for a song supposedly having to be two things: singing and relaying something personal through music....Where is this definition of music cited in ANY credible source? That's just your interpretation and definition of what is music.

Music don't have to be about personal experiences that are interpreted into the performing arts. Do some value such personal type of music? Yes, myself being one of them, but being personal with your music isn't the end all for what is suppose to be judged as quality/good music.

It's getting irritating seeing people like that constantly belittling her to the basicness of today's pop stars. It seems attention-seeking, because Britney has proven she's beyond that.

I really like some of Uffie's music and would never discredit her. But come on, saying this in Ke$ha threads got old almost 2 years ago.

Fun fact for you about this that you probably don't know of: When Ke$ha was once (it was way, way into her Animal era) asked for her opinion on the comparisons to Uffie some people draw, her response was (I'm quoting, I actually looked it up just for you): "Who's Uffie? I'll google her."
