It isn't THAT bad. I didn't hear any radio friendly clips yet, but I'm glad that she's doing what she wants to. I'm glad that she didn't come out with a first single talking about dancing in a club or something.

What I think she should have done is had a couple of 20's songs and then songsthat appeal to today's audience.

This whole project was too ambitious to begin with. I could see maybe half the album having this lame jazz theme and the rest of it current music but to put all your eggs in one basket...well we just heard the results. Even today when I saw the TRL Awards I thought...okay well this sucks but there is still that song she did with DJ Premier and had hope, until I heard that song from the clips someone posted and its the same jazz junk. She just keeps playing with fire and this time she is going to get burned.

Does anyone know if this type of music is even popular with Europe, everyone keeps raving about how she is the second coming of God over there now so if she puts this music out over there...

I don't think Europe likes this kind of music, but who knows... What I know is Christina should be releasing things like Dirrty and Fighter, not this jazz crap. This isn't her, and I doubt the "older mature audience" she wants will start to give her credits just because she's recording material like this.

Honestly I think she is just fishing for critical acclaim and grammy awards with this album.

I don't understand how her label could have been so stupid as to let her go through with this. She must really have them right where she wants them or something....

I am just so disappointed in her. "Stripped" (despite me bashing basically every single) is probably one of the best albums of this generation. To go from that to this just frustrates and pisses me off.

'Candyman' sounded pretty good from the clip to me. :heart: That's the only one i heard though. I'd wait til you actually hear a full track though because clips dont sometimes dont tell what the full thing would sound like.

Her new album will still sell loads anyway and if she cant pull of the blues then how the hell do people expect Britney to.

Britney hasn't recorded an album full of "blues" tracks anyway. And besides...Jive isn't as retarded as RCA is, they rule with an iron fist so I doubt they will let Britney make the same mistake Christina will. Especially after they see how poorly the album will probably perform

I agree. Some people didn't like the clips of CHUD and Infatuation, but they liked the rest of the album.
