The fans are more dedicated. Pop fans are very fickle.

Rap albums sell like cray... even if it leaked a month from the original release date.

Men buy rap albums because they love that music, and women usually buy it because they probably think the rapper is sexy.

And they have loyal fanbases.

Loyal/dedicated fanbase, and they actually buy albums for the music, not because the artist has a #1 hit on the charts.

I don't know why, but I do know rap albums are frontloaded because of first week sales.

I think Rap and Country aren't as saturated with artists. You have tons of pop singers and while a few can draw large numbers, most of the acts have a limited fan base.

Country is America's biggest selling genre. Just because Americans love their country music. Steady and loyal fan bases.

Rap is popular and "hip." It is much cooler to buy the new Wiz Khlafia album than the new Katy Perry album. Pop is kind of guilty pleasure, but more people admit to liking/buying rap music.
