'Rumors' got attention because she was whiny, and the video flaunted the double D's.
With no 'Rumors' - there was no media attention.
I.e. "My personal album OMGZ im such a respectable artist" tanked. (in comparison to 'Speak' that is)
Note to the Lindsay Brigade: I am in no way trying to intentionally attack Lindsay based on my own personal opinion of her. Frankly, I though COABH was some of her best "work". But the matter of the fact is, that is my firm belief in why the album flopped, and am not commenting on the quality of her music. Keep that in mind.

I also thin she shold have released other song like "Rumors" as the first single. That's like people like her, she likes it or not. I don't think any artist can run away too much from the way the general public see him/her.
Anywayz, "ALMP" is a very good album. With more promo, it could be Platinum like "Speak". But now I doubt it'll happen, unless "Fastlane" is a huge hit.
