Oh wow, I didn't realize how quickly ebooks were taking off. That's amazing.
Digital versus physical with books is very similar to what happened with music over the last decade. 10 years ago, physical sales had the higher percentage. But after iTunes (and other online music distributors) took off, digital sales began dominating.
Publishers and labels are losing out on alot of authors and artists because of the internet. It's possible to completely cut out the middleman now and keep the majority of the profits for yourself.
