I guess I worded my reply badly. It could be about being dropped, but I don't believe the clinic represents Def Jam. I think it's just an actual clinic.
Hmm....maybe. I just think its a metaphore for SOMETHING Maybe def jam, maybe not.
Did you watch the final part of the Google Goes Gaga interview? She talks about being dropped by Def Jam and she also refers to gummy bears.

I really doubt she means this is a metaphor for her being dropped from Def Jam. That's kind of reaching. I think it's an actual clinic, like the cornfield was an actual cornfield, just with a piano with it.
