I've noticed that most gay movies have really bad acting. The only gay movie with phenomenal acting is Brokeback Mountain. Gay movies typically have extremely cheesy storylines, though.

Shank has the real violence, gangs, sex, abortions, drugs and straight up ****ERY that coming out is truly about.

ye. the vast majority of them, cos usually they are low budget.
you should watch The Trip.
it's really good. good acting, good picture quality.
well, obviously philadelphia, but this one is too obvious.

the trip is just awesome. it's a comedy, it's drama.

Latter days is HORRIBLE MOVIE...TERRIBLE ACTING ..weak script ..please save yourself and don't get into they hype ..the following are really great gay movies i have come across recently

Maurice ..probably the greatest male love story ever just beautiful
Shelter ..ok movie..good acting hot lead..probably very popular because non of the stereotypical nonsense is in the move
Mulligan's Great story great acting
Mysterious skin very disturbing but very good
Kiss the bride
East side story currently watch it ...havent finished but so far very good
