Totally off topic, but I think she's smart by slowly building a more adult-fan base and not alienating her kiddie-fans. Kids buy music, adults download. I think Disney stars have a bigger chance of succes when they grow up with their audience (and hold on to "loyal" fans) and then expanding instead of in a sense ditching them without really having build an adult-fanbase (as in what happened with Miley.) and Nick Jonas, who also had very grown-up-songs on his album.
So... I actually LOVE the Hit The Lights music video. Only thing is it's kind of all over the place. A lot going on but I love the carefree-ness of it. It goes along well with the song.
EDIT: BUT A Year Without Rain remains Sel's best music video.
I thought the scenes moved wayyy toooo fast. Barely had time to catch what was going on. The idea was great, but it was poorly executed.. And I would've given her a love interest, give the musicvideo a story..

Hit the Lights is flawless, I LOVED IT! BUT it ain't her best. The scene's with the yellow & pink ballons is something I wouldn't put in the MV. And her "clubbing" in the house wasn't really necessary. But overrall, the video was flawless and I loved it! Especially the last minute of the video. That was epic
I agree with Right Now, AYWR was flawless and beautiful but it was too much walking and that's pretty much it. The gown and her in the video is what made the video so damn interesting though.

The pink balloon scene made the video. It was like Selena was on hard meds.
The AYWR music video is stunning. Selena looks gorgeous, and the goes hand in hand with the music video. I don't think music videos have to be exciting and have too much going on. AYWR's music video is simple but is her best IMO. I love the rain scene and when her boyfriend, or whatever, comes. They should've kissed.
