Britney Spears shows vigorous show and good form in Rio
RIO - Rio' samba catwalk turned into a huge dance floor on Tuesday, 15. Returning to Brazil after a decade, Britney Spears showed the fans a vigorous show in the Apotheosis Square. Supported by an overproduction, the singer had to make little effort to raise the public, whose only excitement cooled when the DJ duo that opened the show played 'Born This Way', by the "rival" Lady GaGa.
Although visibly excited by the warm reception, Britney followed the script of the tour: opened the show with 'Hold It Against Me', touched with the ballad 'Do not Let Me Be The Last To Know' and showed daring costumes for the sexy performances of 'I'm A Slave 4 U', 'Toxic' and 'Gimme More'. She said more than once (in English) that "loved Rio" Between songs, the screens showed a video where the singer is stalked by an admirer, in what appears to be an allusion to the voracity of the paparazzi about his personal life.
After a troubled personal phase, the pop star seems to be in good shape today. On stage at 29 years old Britney is no longer that young girl who stealed hearts with her exposed belly, but still show her works. And not the obvious use of playback in some of the songs seemed to bother the audience. "After Madonna, Britney made the best show I've ever seen," said the student Gustav Vierling, 21, who came from São Paulo to see it.
In the closing part, the new hit 'Till The World Ends' made the audience sing along. By then, Rio has asked for more. Shy, Britney thanked fans with a confetti rain, and with a standing ovation left the stage. She had no encore, but those who missed or want to review the show can check the 'Femme Fatale Tour' in Sao Paulo on Friday.

With massive support from fans, Britney shows that her star is here to stay.
RIO - Ten years after presenting at Rock in Rio 3, Britney Spears returned to the stage of Rio de Janeiro on the night of Tuesday, on the Apotheosis, not with the title of "it star" of she had in 2001 but as living proof that you can have a second chance at show biz. In 1h15m show, which began promptly at 21h (complete with a countdown impressive accuracy standards for Texans), the eternal "pop princess" had massive support from his fans to show the world that she is a star that came to stay.
Mother of two children and trying to keep a quiet life after a turbulent phase, Britney may not kill the most elaborate choreography and have the same body of their early days, but makes up for it with a lot of charisma and a set full of hits.
Britney fans are a sideshow. Dedicated, they go far beyond buying merchandise and sing all the songs: they defend their queen like a true army. That passion, Britney returned as he could. In the song "Leather & Lace," she called to the stage the student Getulio Cavalcante, 19, chosen through a promotion on Facebook to participate in the choreography, complete with handcuffs and pink feathers. Later, in "I Wanna Go," she brought more eight lucky to dance with her, while declaring his love for Rio and showed the brazilian flag.
The highlight of the show of affection of the fans came on the last song of the show. In the chorus of "Till the World Ends," the most successful from new album, hundreds of posters popped up in the audience playing the "Oh oh oh" in the chorus to which Britney replied with a surprised smile.
