Inspired by many different posts in the Music Forum, I want you to tell me what will be the biggest album of the year 2006 and give us all good reasons as to why they will be big. Don't just say who you think will have the biggest album, give us some actual reasons.

I'll have my answer with my reasonings soon, but everyone should know what my pick is. Have at.

And Britney fans, Christina fans, I know, I know. Britney and Christina will have the biggest album of the year. Yeah yeah yeah. Without good reasons, I don't want to hear it.

Britney Spears

Because she has a huge fanbase still, her record company always goes all out for her releases, and it is highly anticipated.

Janet

She's been working hard on the very ANTICIPATED project with Jermaine Dupri who hooked Mariah Carey up with the biggest year of her CARRER. She's also doing a duet with Ms. Mariah which will most likely be a single, and it will be huge. She's taking her music back to the Janet that is well known and loved for, and I honestly think the music industry will eat her up. She will have a huge year, and no doubt about a HUGE album. Her fan base is still huge, look at her last few records. She'll get it, and her promotion will be extravagent, they have the formula now since Mariah's huge year, and i'm sure they plan to hit it up big like plus a bag o' chips!

Janet jackson, Outkast......who knows

Linkin Park and Christina Aguilera.....there is no need to give reasons....they'll be making huge comebacks this year.

Utada Hikaru's new album.. a few years ago she sold 5 million copies in just one month, and all signs point to her repeating that same feat

HOKU! DUHHH! She'll sell 1.5 Million first week! She'll break Britney's record, only possible competition is Rose Falcon's HUGELY anticipated Sophomore album!

I'm not defending Linkin Park, but they have Rick Rubin producing the new album, and apparently they're doing a lot of different things than before...I wouldn't expect them to make a 3rd Hybrid Theory. No matter what it sounds like though, it's not going to sell more than their last album (which sold half of their first,) I'll tell you that much. I'd say about 2 million, 2.5 if they're lucky...it will definitely NOT be the biggest album of 2006.

Probably Janet's. Infact, it might even be bigger than Mariah's comeback w/ TEOM.

I don't see any rappers having big albums with big numbers this year besides Kanye West and *maybe* Dr.Dre.

On the pop side of things, expect Christina Aguilera's album and Nelly F's "Loose" to rake in big numbers.

Somebody new we should definitely look out for selling big numbers is Ne-yo. I have a lot of faith in this dude. He better not let me down.

I just hope this year turns out even better than 2005 did because as of right now, it pretty much sucks ass.
