With the Top 32 picked for Season 5, I was thinking its time to reflect on the success and disasters that were the AI winners, runner-ups & contestants of the previous years.

Here's the scorecard, let me know if I forgot someone.

Kelly Clarkson (s1) she's doing...alright.

Justin Guarini (s1) w/o a doubt he got the biggest screw-over in AI history.

Nikki McGibbin (s1) did some crappy reality show afterwards, has a rock album coming this month. Expect another casualty.

Tamyra Gray (s1) a great debut album, totally bumbled by dumb record co.

RJ Helton (s1) I think he released a gospel album

Ryan Starr (s1) another wash-up who had a chance to promote her stuff on 'The Surreal Life' but blew it by deing a diva.

Kristin Holt (s1) she gave up her singing career & now hosts the hit show 'Cheat!' on G4. Smart move.

Ruben Studdard (s2) he did alright, but...

Clay Aiken (s2)...this guy did better. WAY BETTER!

Kimberley Locke (s2) had three top 40 hits and a #1 on AC, then released a horrible videowhere she was wearing pink leather...ugh. Let's hope she can recover in 2006.

Josh Gracin (s2) the army veteran had a very successful debut album w/ three Top 5 Country hits and a #1. RIGHT ON!

Trenyce (s2) great pipes, but no album. What's up w/ that?

Carmen Rasmusen (s2) got married, kids. no record. sad.

Kimberley Caldwell (s2) I actually like this girl, but messed up her career due to smoking. Many cited that the reason her voice was weak on the weeks before booting of. Appeared on FOX funny flop 'Life on Stick' w/ Ruben Studdard.

Julia DeMatteo (s2) busted on drunk driving, marijuana & cocaine possession. And she ain't even a star yet. Oh boy.

Vanessa Olivarez (s2) here's one I liked, but went nowhere. just thought should mention her.

Corey Clark (s2) oh boy.....well......I think we should move on.

William Hung (s2) it's funny Hung did better that Corey Clark, and his success was a joke! funny.

Fantasia Barrino(s3) I love Kelly, Ruben & Carrie. But when this girl wonI went crazy. I <3333 this girl so much. Best debut album for an AI winner in my opinion. Double-platinum album w/ three #1s ('I Believe', 'Truth Is', & 'Free Yourself') Kanye West, Missy Elliott, & Ne-Yo are collaborating on her sophmore record. CAN'T WAIT!

Diana DeGarmo (s3) nothin against this girl but if she would've beat Fantasia, I would've lost all faith in America. Great singer? Yes. American Idol? Nope. First album flopped.

Jasmin Trias (s3) I remember she got boos cuz he beat out LaToya. I'll admit I was one of them, but looking back I feel bad. She is beautiful & talented. Successful in the Philipines has yet to chart here.

LaToya London (s3) remember her rendition of 'All By Myself'? *goosebumps* 'nuff said. She released an album late '05. Single 'Appreciate' peaked at #8 on the Billboard Singles Sales chart.

George Huff (s3) I always liked this guy, even though I knew he would never win. Released a gospel album.

Jon Stevens (s3) the red-headed 16-year-old crooner was one of AI's most memorable contestants. I dug this dude! Released a Standards album in '05.

Jennifer Hudson (s3) from the second you heard this girl you knew she was going places. Believe It or Not: J-Hud is starring opposite Beyonce, Jamie Foxx & Eddie Murphy in the upcoming ' DREAMGIRLS'.

Jon Peter Lewis (s3) remember the crazy dancin' contestant who did a great Elvis? well, he's got an independent label up & is currently working on material for an album. I respect that.

Camile Velasco (s3) I had a crush on this girl. Unforunately known as the other Hawaiian girl, she's signed w/ Motown and'll release an album this year. Her first single 'Hangin' On' flopped, we'll see on the 2nd does.

Carrie Underwood (s4) The 1st country girl to win the competiton, she already has a 2x-platinum album and two #1s ('Inside Your Heaven' & 'Jesus Take the Wheel'). She is the fastest selling new Country artist in Billboard history. DAMN!

Bo Bice (s4) I was feelin' this guy since the beginning. And that song he did acapella? Killed it. Freakin' awesome. Released his first album which already has a Top 40 hit ('The Real Thing').

Vonzell Solomon (s4) Baby V is finishing her debut album, due out later this year. Should be good.

Anthony Federov (s4) This might shock a number of you, but Anthony is NOT currently working on an album.

Scott Savol (s4) The underdog of Season Fo. There were rumors that he got a record deal but found nothing on the net to back that up.

Constantine Maroulis (s4) Giving one of my top five favorite AI performances of all time ('Bohemian Rhapsody' of course), the rocka is currently promoting his band Pray for the Soul of Betty and recently signed a deal w/ NBC to do a sitcom loosely based on is life & his yuppie family.

Anwar Robinson (s4) The music teacher w/ the heart of gold, he is openly gay & was asked to keep it on the hush-hush doing the show. He recently released a solo album on a Indie label.

Nadia Turner (s4) Can anybody give me a reason why this girl ain't working on an album? RIDICULOUS!

Nikko Smith & Jessica Sierra (s4) I put these two together cuz they are currently dating & neither are working on solo albums. ah love...

Mikalah Gordon (s4) You either loved her or loathed her (I loved her), she has a guest starring on a new Fran Dreschner (yeah, I know) sitcom & rumor has it, she's had several surgeries to reduce her quote-unquote 'jew nose'*

Mario Vasquez (s4) An early favorite, he bowed out for undisclosed reasons. Rumor has it he's working w/ Mike Jones.

WOW! I'm been on this list for an hour-and-a-half. Worth it. Totally worth it. Now, discuss.

'IB' was #1 on Billboard Hot 100. 'TI' & 'FY' were #1 on Billboard Adult R&B Airplay Chart.

Remember Jim Verraros? The one with the deaf parents? He is now openly gay and he has a huge myspace lesion of fans. I was at Virgin Megastore yesterday and saw that he has, indeed, released an album. He is looking great btw!

Shame about Camile, I had heard another remix to Keep Me Hanging On while I was in Pacific Sun, sounded good.

Thats actually a cool thing to read. And that sucks for camille, i kinda sorta liked her a bit. And Btw, Ryan Starr like went on tour and stuff in like china and is releasing an album this year.

-I also feel bad for Camille. She was my favorite Season 3 contestant.
-I truly feel Kim Caldwell could have a successful recording career. Those snippets that leaked at year or two ago were really good. But now she works on the TV Guide channel lol.
-There has never been a male contestant that I was a fan of until this season so I'm not surprised they nowhere.
-Carmen has kids ? lol, I liked her though.

Diana DeGarmo's been doing really well for herself as of late, actually. Right now, she's on Broadway in the musical Hairspray and as been getting great reviews. Then she'll be in a national touring production of the musical Brooklyn. In conjunction with this, she's also recording her second album. The musical stuff has her booked until about September or so at the moment so the album definitely shouldn't be released until after that at the earliest (and she's also planning on touring).

Also I just received Mario Vasquez's song called "Gallery" which was written by Mr. "So Sick" Ne-Yo!! If you want the song just PM me. The boy can sing & I think he has a hit on his hands....

I'm going to make a prediction for Carrie Underwood: I heard some of her material, and I'm going to say next year she's going to do some Grammy damage in the Country areas. - (With a likely few noms and maybe a couple wins.) I hate Country music, but a lot of my country-fan people have been liking her a lot. Plus she just might outsell KC's Breakaway.
