I think with this album she is. I wonder what it will take for her to become viable in the USA market again without having to resort to rent a rapper or something cheesy like that.

Dance music just never does well in the states. It's a shame, too. I'm a proud owner of the CD ;-)

Guess she already did brilliant with a terrible album like that. I bought it just because it's Madonna's, but it's no way as good as what she's able to.

Shes just about to release Sorry. The only reason she waited so long is because Hung Up was SO HUGE ww and she wanted to wait until that died b4 she released another single ww. But no, she is NOT THRU!

I agree 100%. I thought album wasn't up to snuff and I know Madonna can do better! I only liked maybe 3 tracks off the whole album!

And it is a shame that the USA is ignoring dance music. Thats my favorite. Yet we have stupid ass n**** **** like Laffy Taffy, Ne-Yo and despicable trash like that hitting #1 and being hits. Its pathetic

She is not too old for anything. She is still a force to be reckon with worldwide. That album has sold close to 6 million copies in 4 months, thats unheard of .

I agree that after a couple of months of listening to COADF it definitely isn't one of her best. American Life was my favorite and it was the least popular (God knows why, it was genius). The US just doesn't like Dance music, hence why COADF didn't do as good as expected. So i would say that she is over in the US with this album, but when she releases her next album and reinvents herself i'm sure she'll have them back.

What? How is Madonna over already? She had the number one album and Hung Up was a Top Ten hit. She like JUST released Sorry and its already on the Top 20 countdown videos on Vh1, and its like number 1 on the dance charts. Plus they played COADF like 5 times at the sadie hawkins dance at my school. Shes definatly not on her way out yet.

LOL these haters keep reachin, Madonna is no where near over, expect this album to spawn 4-5 singles and videos, her tour is gonna be her promo, the most sold out and make the most money this year which is something Moomoo can not do.

COADF has sold twice the amount as American Life did in the USA and will probably be double platinum by the summer. And lets not forget, most of Madonna's 90s album releases sold around 2 to 3 Million. The fact that she can go 2x Platinum in today's illegal file sharing world is saying alot.

Yes, it's true....Madonna's singles aren't doing as well as they used to on the radio. So what ? Her videos get major play, her songs are hits on iTunes, and she is a legend. She really doesn't need radio anymore.

Despite DJs not bothering to play the genre, dance music will not die. Infact, dance music seems to be making a bit of a comeack in the states, haven't you all noticed ? Cascada's "Everytime We Touch" is now a Top 20 hit on the Hot 100 and there isn't even a ballad version released to radio. It took a long ass time before areas outside of NY started to play it but they now are.
