I'm not saying by any means that Gaga always has great explanations or reasons of artistiqué for what she does but do you really consider THAT to be a well-thought out greater concept? She comes down from a cross, it represents the bearing of sins? Because that's what Jesus would've done? And she did it for the starving children in Africa?

There is a unifying concept for what she is doing though. She is confessing her sins, helping her friends to confess their sins, they are coming together and unifying together from their collective forgiveness and they are being charitable and giving charity to those who are less fortunate because their lord is charitable to them by forgiving them their trespasses. It goes with her tour and general theme of confession and that lies will only harm you. It goes with the name of her album, tour and shares an overarching theme of what Madonna was trying to do that era. In general it is a very christian idea/ideal way of life and she is a catholic. Overall there is a solid basis behind what she is doing and she is able to articulate that meaning clearly within a single interview.
There is a main them of confession, forgiveness and charity through that segment. There is thought, meaning and a well constructed idea being executed. Not like Gaga's endless rambles about how 'nothing has solid meaning' and 'things have twelve million different and contradicting interpretations because I change a lot.'
