Now I'm not gonna say this guy doesn't look like a murderer but this case is pretty ****** to begin with. With all the inheritance talks surrounding the murder, it could be anyone among the 80+ siblings(including his half brothers and half-sisters)
. But according to the investigators, he is the main suspect. Resolved immediately in only 24 hours. How in the hell? This is Philippines.
Cases like this in here won't even be tackled by courts by a matter of months or years. But here's my take on this case.
His brother was killed, his sister fled to Turkey because she was also accused of the killing and his whole family(her mother side) is in distress because of this situation. And probably worst of all, he was accused of being the mastermind. And you know what else is pretty shady? His "paid gunmen" surrendered.
And the worst and shadiest of all the current known facts , according to the gunmen, he revealed to them the reason why he wants to kill his brother. Like for real...
Why would you even reveal your identity and your reason for commiting a crime.
And you know what reason his gunmen said? He was jealous of his brother being closer to his father. Ummm... it's a viable reason but there's something wrong in here. This guy isn't just the brother of the slain, he is his brother through and through. The saddest part however, everyone from their clan except his family(cause the senator had different wives and mistresses
) is throwing them under the bus. Like hey! Could you atleast support his mother and his family with all the **** they're going through, they might do unspeakable things and they're only fueling the fire.
With that said, there are atleast 3 heirs that could potentially lose their inheritance because of this case. The first heir is dead, the second one is a suspect( already in prison) and the third one is also a suspect who fled to another country. Oh that's loooooooks sooooo convenient for their other siblings.
But there's a counter-argument. According to the senator's manager, his father already gave away all of his assets to all of his children, meaning there's no more to give away and that her mother is only lying about their sustainment fee being cut off. However, the manager is NAWT credible. WHY? This manager was involved in a cheating incident in a film awards show many years ago. She told the presentors of the awards who were actors under her management to switch the awards to another nominee that she was also managing that time.
Now, I'm not really sure if he is innocent but what they're(the main families of the former senator) doing to his family is pretty tasteless but my suspicion is growing so fast that this murder was just a frame up so that they could get rid off his family out of any inheritance that they could have (her mother had 9 children with the former senator).
