Rock
nine inch nails, "Every Day Is Exactly the Same"
- There is no doubt in my mind that this will hit #1 on Alternative/Billboard Modern Rock. Believe it or not, NIN barely had their first-ever #1 singles last year with "The Hand That Feeds" and "Only," both from With Teeth. EDIETS will make it 3 consecutive #1 singles for NIN. You can't go wrong with Francis Lawrence directing the video, either.
Korn, "Liar"/"Open Up"/"Tearjerker"
- Yes, "Coming Undone" is the new single, and it's really good, but it won't be as big as "Twisted Transistor." There's just no way. I have my own reasons for thinking that any of those 3 songs will do better than "Coming Undone," and that's the order I think they should be released in. A 5th single isn't out of the question, since they're going to be on tour for over a year, and Virgin Records wants to promote the album very well.
Pop
Nelly Furtado, "Maneater"
- Even I like this song. That's all there is to say.

"S.O.S" for sure..
Pinks album will sell okay, but Rhianna will beat her ass with "SOS"

Rihanna is trying to squeeze the last ounce of success out of her talentless career; even if SOS is a huge success she will be out of everyone's mind forever by this time next year if not far earlier. Even with a megahit, she couldn't rack up major album sales- she's close to over, SOS or not.
Pink's new song is going to blow up- case and point? It was released as a single on iTunes on Tuesday and is currently #4 on the Singles sales chart. This is going to be a relatively high debut, probably in the 30s??? and big airplay is going to pick up from there... this one's going to be big, folks....
I haven't heard Hoobastank, so I can't speak on that, and I am *PRAYING* that Maneater blows up (even though I haven't yet listened) because Nelly Furtado is one of my all time favorite artists.

Could that have been anymore hateful ? What is even necessary ?
I'm sorry to break it to you but Rihanna won't be over after "SOS". Her new album, "A Girl Like Me", is set to have a big promotional push before and after it is released in April. She has a $20 Million endorsement deal w/ Nike and "SOS" will pretty much be the theme for it. A second single is already planned. It's called "Unfaithful" and is already set to be a hit. Oh and talentless ? I'll let you live by your opinion but I suggest you take a listen to "SOS", even if it isn't a live track, her vocals are excellent on the track.

okay, let me get something out there. I am a HUGE Nelly Furtado fan. I've been a fan since Nelstar, I made all my friends get into her when 'Whoa Nelly!' came out, and I check out shitontheradio.com once a week for the latest Nelly news.
So it PAINS me to know that 'Maneater' leaked on the net a month ago, and now nobody wants to link or upload it. I would like to hear 'Maneater'. Could anybody help me out?

Ugh, you want to know why he thinks Ashlee said that?
Look at his "custom user text" or whatever.

i think s.o.s. might beat stupid girls but since pink got attention on her now she ll go for quality music and simple video and considering leaked songs are way better than stupid girls i think pink s 3rd single especially will be a huge hit . if she releases long way to happy or who knew they will blow the charts i suppose. hope im not dead will be her best and will sell more than missundaztood

A second single is already planned. It's called "Unfaithful" and is already set to be a hit.

Yes it was hateful and necessary. I've listened to SOS and her dog-like howl might be something she can replicate live, but that doesn't make it good. Face facts, Jay-Z signed her so he could pimp her Carribean heritage and looks, it's not about the singing, CLEARLY.
Wow a second single is planned and already set to be a hit??? How awesome- too bad there is no way you can plan or count on a hit unless you are an established artist or you are expecting PAYOLA. There is no way to speculate whether or not Unfaithful will be a hit, so this "point" you are trying to make is moot.
I'm sticking by my prediction that this one hit wonder is on her way out... peace!

okay I FINALLY found 'Maneater' & 'Promiscuous Girl' on the net & I gotta say I'm a little disappointed. I dunno, maybe it'll grow on me. Personally, I digging 'PG' a hell of a lot more. That one's gonna be a hit.

In the rock category I would also add Hawthorne Heights' 'Saying Sorry', that's gonna be their big break.

I STILL haven't heard "S.O.S." but it seems to be in everybody's minds lately. I suck at predictions, so I better just wait and see what's gonna be a hit in 2006.
