Yeah, i just wish we could push all the r&b and rap crap off the countdown and give the mainstream something good to listen to. Andrew worked his ass off the past year to put that cd out even with cancer. And now he finally has a chance to promote it and i quote his latest blog entry "I know you hate seeing a band you love on trl, but its my goal to share this music with as many people as possible, please help me make this happen"

I hate when people say R&B & Hip Hop crap. ALOT of people like R&B & Hip Hop, and I think that's kind of disrespectful. This song isn't good anyway.

That isn't true. I support AAR and POD, but other than that, you'd be almost 95.5 percent right.

You really dont know or understand what true heartfelt music is. Andrew worked his ass off on that album, and he did it while being treated for cancer, even managed to promote it as best possible and make an animated video. You dont see rap artists doing that.

I'm sure a lot of artists of every genre works THEIR asses off and puts their heart in their music and they STILL don't make TRL. Anna Nalick hasnt made TRL; Korn's latest stuff hasn't hit TRL, and neither has a lot of urban artists, some rappers never even get premiered. Not being mean at all when I say this; but a lot of people make music, even when they're ill, and so because he had cancer doesn't mean ne deserves a spot on TRL. I know what heartfelt music is; I just hardly listen to it and i have ZERO problem listening to it unless Keyshia Cole, Ne-Yo, POD, and Mariah's latest stuff isn't heartfelt music. That's like saying Ashlee deserves to be #1 because she strained her voice while recording her album, and she put a lot of effort into it. Not everyone has the same tastes in music, and it REALLY doesn't matter what YOU think mainstream should be listening to because you think that mainstream music isn't good, cause honestly? Your chances of getting this guy on TRL are about as low as the chances of liking "Check On It" or "Grillz".

Im just promoting. Ive sat down before and listened to what urban music has to offer, and frankly I think its crap. I dont really see the point in listening to someone talk about drugs, alchohol, treating woman like ****s, how much money they have and how big their rims are on their 500,000 dollar car.
If you sit down and listen to this album, it is compiled into a story of the past year and a half of his life. (losing a girlfriend he has had since highschool, getting over a cocaine addiction, being on the road, being sick). and if you ever see him performe live, its like nothing you can even imagine. Plus he doesnt hide backstage for groupies to ---- him for an autograph. he walks around the club, hanging out, has a drink with you, takes some pictures and shares deep conversation.

I'm sorry, but that part of the post was so stereotypical, I didn't care to finish reading what was possibly the rest of a crap post. Not all urban music is crap, so you should really re-think that.

TrueMusicFan, I agree with you. No not every single rap song is about drugs, alcohol, money, and treating women like ****s, but the majority of it is. Excuse me if some people actually like to listen to music with real meaning and about real pain that people have gone through instead of grills and how big their rims are.
