And when you think about it, Beyonce single-handedly just dismantled other female r&b acts like Ashanti, Brandy, Monica, & Mya. I mean, Beyonce accomplished more in one album, than those girls did in their entire career. It's like all about Beyonce. Those girls don't even have a chance to be quite frank!

Now Marquis, lets not get ahead of ourselves lol. Beyonce has yet to sell what "Never Say Never" sold.
NOTE/WARNING: Highly possible that I will get off topic.
I really don't see why America likes Beyonce so much. I know why I like Beyonce, but me and this country don't think the same. I was reading a very interesting article in Billboard magazine concerning why a song becomes a hit. Most Americans, not all, seem to judge a song based on how they think others will like it. If they think others will like it, they'll like it too. In other words, they're followers and they don't have their own opinions.
If you noticed, we've been at a musical hault for the past 6 years thanks to the Hip-Hop explosion that deprived many of their creativity and individuality. Things are now percieved differently, more ignorantly in my opinion. If artists like Beyonce, one who is known for booty-shaking dance R&B hits to the mainstream public, would release her more daring and original tracks like"Yes" (which I'm pretty sure she'll do on her next album) and if there were more rappers like Kanye & Nas around, I'm pretty sure we'll progress again. But for now, we're f---ed.
